Importance of Laptop Stands

After traveling for 5 years, putting our laptops directly on table, we did not realized how important having a laptop stands was. Here are the 3 major reason why everyone should be using a laptop with a lapstop stand:

Ergonomics

We often underestimate the impact of ergonomics on our daily lives. A laptop stand can significantly improve your workspace ergonomics by bringing your screen to eye level, reducing strain on your neck and back.

Posture Improvement

Slouching over a laptop for hours can wreak havoc on your posture. A laptop stand promotes a healthier sitting position, enhancing your spinal alignment and reducing the risk of long-term discomfort.

Heat Dissipation

Laptops tend to heat up during prolonged use, potentially affecting performance and longevity. Laptop stands allow for better airflow, preventing overheating and ensuring your device runs smoothly.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Laptop Stand

When it come to choosing a laptop stand, it is important that you look at the following factors:

Adjustability

Look for a stand that offers adjustable height and angle options. This customization ensures that you can find the perfect setup for your unique needs.

Material and Build Quality

Durability matters. Invest in a laptop stand made from quality materials that can withstand regular use without compromising stability.

Portability

If you’re constantly on the move like us, consider a portable laptop stand. Look for designs that are foldable or lightweight for easy transportation.

I like that the stand boasts, 8 adjustable height settings, catering to different users of various heights. It can take thicker laptops but also has clips to hold thinner ones. The rubberised grippers made is also very secure. You can tilt your laptop and i will remain attached to the stand which isn’t the case with the Tonmom. I also love how compact this laptop stands it, making it very easy to carry while on the go!
I had a great experience with their customer service who told me their stands are build to last a lifetime so I’m looking forward carrying it with me for years to come. Last but not least the company offer FREE shipping worldwide! It is also a great value for the price, especially in comparison to the Roost.

Nexstand K28 height adjustment optionsReinforced Nylon234 gramsMid-range
Roost3 height adjustment optionsPolycarbonate170 gramsExpensive
Tonmom8 heights adjustment optionsOK250 gramsCheap

The main disadvantage of the Nexstand K2 is its weight at 234 grams / 8.25 ounces Versus 170 grams / 6.3 ounces for the Roost. That being said, if you would like the lightest of all laptop stands, the Nexstand X1 is made of carbon fiber and only weight 150 grams / 5.29 ounces! It is however pricier but if every ounce you carry count, this would probably be a better option!

In the short time I’ve been using it, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my posture and overall comfort. I can say that the Nexstand K2 has truly elevated my laptop experience so far. I’ll happily update this review if I noticed further improvements 🙂

Tips for Using Laptop Stands Effectively
