Taiwan has been a model of how to control the pandemic since its inception in early 2020, thanks to effective contact tracing, strict quarantine, and coordinated government action. However, these past few days have been unusual with the rapid increase in the number of domestic cases to a level that has never been reached since the pandemic started.
We spent $7,300 in cash + 112,000 airlines points in booking we had to cancel due to COVID19. In this post, we share all the details about what bookings we made before the pandemic, how much we paid, how much we got back, how long it took for us to get our money back, which strategies we used to get our money back and what we learned for the future.
